First program on real hardware

Sponsor a Homeschooler
$150 covers one kid's full seat plus their take-home kit. Local businesses and families sponsor seats so cost is never the reason a kid misses out. Sponsorships are confidential in both directions.

Why weekday mornings?+
That's the homeschool advantage — while schools are in session, your kid gets small-group time on real equipment. Cohorts run year-round, so if this session's timing doesn't fit, the next one might.
How does payment work?+
Request a seat with the form below — no payment on the website. We confirm your seat by email, then you pay the $89 via PayPal or Venmo. Done.
What do we need to buy?+
About $30 of gear per kid: the micro:bit V2 Go kit and batteries, linked in the gear list above. You buy it, your kid keeps it. Everything else — printers, filament, laptops if needed — is on us.
Does my kid need coding experience?+
No. Session 1 starts from zero with block-based coding. Kids who already code can push into more advanced territory — the project scales with them.
What if we miss a session?+
Each session builds on the last, but the plan has catch-up room built in. Miss one and we'll get your kid caught up; miss more and we'll figure it out together.
Is this drop-off, or do parents stay?+
Either. Parents are welcome to stay (homeschool parents often do) or drop off and pick up. Showcase day, though — bring the whole family.
What about sponsored seats?+
If $89 is a stretch, check the sponsored-seat box on the form — it's confidential and carries no obligation. And if you'd like to fund a seat for another kid, the $150 Sponsor-a-Student tier covers a full seat plus kit.
What ages, really?+
The sweet spot is 9–14. Under 9 the typing and wiring get frustrating; 15+ kids are welcome but may want the deeper builds coming in later cohorts.
